My name is Casie Laspata. I am a 22 years old and currently race the '82 Camaro(above) built and formally owned by Bruce Riley. My Dad, Tom Laspata, purchased the car from Bruce in 2001 after I had outgrown junior drag racing. He put a 350 chevy smallblock in the car which runs mid 10s at about 130mph. The car has since won several rounds of competition. Tony Gambardella IV has also won several footbrake challenge races in it. In 2004 the car was completely redone. It was painted a combination of blue, white, silver with gray interior. I compete in the weekly bracket program at Atco Raceway but my Dad still talks about turning the car into a complete super stocker one of these days.
My sister, Lindsay, is 19 and races our mom's '68 Camaro(below) in street eliminator at Atco. She has won several rounds in the car and usually sits on the higher end of the points listing for street.

Turned 13.2’s @106mph last year…no slicks or posi either. I run a 10.5 to 1 … 355 small block with a 490 hyd. lift Comp Cam with 1.6 roller rockers. The heads are Edelbrock aluminum performer rpms .The 400 hp is fed to a 3000 stall b&m converter into 3.73 gears. Future plans are a posi ,slicks and 12 second ETs.

My son send you a photo of his Capri so I decided to send you one of my Camaro. The car it an 85 Camaro IROC the motor is a 350 TPI that is basically stock but it has under drive pulley’s, headers from a 92 camaro IROC, an a 3 inch flowmaster exhaust, the motor is from an 88 Firebird GTA the trans is a 700r, the car is also has a 2 inch lowering kit. I raced the car last summer in Cape Breton and it ran in the 14’s all day turning a best run of 14.1 at 98 MPH .
