Today I spent quite a few hours with an extremely dedicated bunch of Racers who are determined to bring a Quick 8 program to Cape Breton Dragway. 
Looks like the August race would be the best date. IMO that is going to be one tough race to qualify for. Just in Cape Breton alone there's enough dragsters and door cars to make for a wild event. If there's any racers from the rest of the Maritimes that want to make the field they're going to have to bring some pretty big guns. If this event goes off it will pack the place with spectators providing it is promoted right. Just think of it - blowers, alcohol, C-14, nitrous, megacubes, half track burnouts, parachutes and lots of noise.
Hopefully Cape Breton Dragway will be ready and by that I mean the absolute best traction possible on the best surface possible(no bumps or dips). If the rest of the CBDRA members are as serious as the guys that I talked to today there may be hope after all.
