Camp Quinebarge - Our Programs

Quinebarge offers a wide range of activities for boys and girls in land sports, nature, water sports, crafts, trips, and horseback riding. Activities are not separated by age or sex, and a majority of the activity schedules are determined according to individual camper choices and abilities.
Horseback riding lessons are available daily under the supervision of qualified instructors. After campers have learned to care for their horses and to demonstrate proficiency in the ring, trail rides offer an extra challenge.

Canoeing, hiking, camping, fishing, backpacking, mountain biking and white water rafting offer campers the challenge of the outdoors. Both day and overnight trips are included. The White Mountain region of New Hampshire offers an excellent variety of rivers and trails for all abilities. A climbing wall and an adventure ropes course, one of the biggest and best in New England, is available to all campers.
The waterfront program, conducted according to American Red Cross procedures, offers daily swim instruction to all campers as well as instructional and recreational activities in sailing, windsurfing, rowing, surf-biking, kayaking, and canoeing.

Quinebarge’s crafts program features the ever popular woodworking, pottery and ceramics, and painting, as well as traditional handicraft activities.

A full range of group games and field sports are offered, including archery, soccer, volleyball, gymnastics, softball, tennis, basketball, water polo, and non-competitive games.

Cabin Life:
Each camper has a cubby and half the space under their bunk bed for storage. Clotheslines to dry wet stuff. Above is one of our 3 double cabins- this one is the Sioux and Iroquois! One staff for each side & 6 to 8 boys. Built in shelves divide the two. Electricity and Smoke Detectors on each side. Wash-house nearby!
Parents Please:
-Arrive between 1:30 and 4:30 on your arrival Sunday

-Leave $ 20- “pocket money” per two weeks for your child – with the Camp Office at check-in. We keep it safe, ready for trips or treats. No other $$s please!

-Write cheery notes or cards once a week, and ask for one in return from your child. We encourage old -fashioned communications! Nothing’s like a letter from home or camp, to keep and read again and remember…

-Pick up your camper after 10:00am packed, rested and ready for the trip on your heading home Saturday!

Extra Opportunities and Activities

Trips to the coasts of Maine and New Hampshire and to the White Mountain National Forest offer campers the opportunity to experience the New England outdoors. Special events such as the Monkeytown Carnivals, presentations by guest artists, and multi-age camp wide activities highlight the summer.
