This weekend marks the beginning of the 2008 Drag Racing season in the Maritimes. As usual Mother Nature is threatening to dampen everyone's plans for Saturday's first Points Meet at RacewayPark PEI. The forecast for Miramichi Dragway Park's Test and Tune weekend is slightly better but as we all know that could change at any time.
I hear by way of the grapevine that Raceway Park is looking better all the time thanks to the efforts of a dedicated group of racers. MDP is in great shape too I heard so there should be lots of news on the message board after this weekend is over. Lets just hope it's not weather related LOL.
Everyone who's going to Miramichi or Oyster Bed please make sure that you get lots of photos - not just starting line or burnouts but some "behind the scenes" stuff and some stories to go with them. Lots of us can't make it so it's up to you folks to keep us informed. Email me your stuff or post it on the message board.
